Meezan Bank Limited is a Pakistani Islamic bank headquartered in Karachi. It is the largest Islamic bank and the second-largest bank based on market capitalization in Pakistan. Founded in 1997, the bank operates with 1,105 offices across the country. Listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Meezan Bank was incorporated as a public limited company on January 27, 1997. The bank was granted a Scheduled Islamic Commercial Bank license on January 31, 2000 and formally commenced operations as a Scheduled Islamic Commercial Bank on March 20, 2002.
